Dental Insurance

- 100% coverage for two preventative services each year
- 80% coverage for basic services
- Eligible for 50% coverage of major and child orthodontia services
Vision Insurance
Provided through Spectera
- One eye exam every 12 months with a $10 co-pay
- Lenses every 12 months and frames (within a select group) every 24 months, with a $10 co-pay. Contact lenses may be selected in place of glasses
- Discounts on laser surgery services
Disability
- Short term disability benefits are available and will cover 60% of weekly wages for a period of 11 weeks
- Long term disability benefits are provided at 60% of associate’s monthly salary, 100% company paid
Life Insurance
- Life and AD&D insurance is provided at two times an associate’s base compensation, to a maximum of $100,000, 100% company paid
- Dependent life coverage - $5,000 spouse and $2,000 on children over the age of one, 100% company paid
- Voluntary life coverage is also available
Flexible Spending Accounts
Allow pre-tax deductions to be taken from associate’s paychecks to pay for costs on items that insurance does not cover or dependent care expenses
Paid Leave
- Company paid holidays include; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Holiday Day and two Family Days
- Paid time-off is available for vacation, sick leave, volunteer hours, maternity and paternity leave
Retirement Benefits

- 50% company match, up to 6% of an associate’s salary
- Eligible to receive a 2% supplemental retirement plan contribution after one year and 1,000 hours of service
Unique Benefits
Tricare Supplemental Insurance

- Similar to a Medicare supplement, whereas the plan will cover most expenses at 100% reimbursement
Tuition Reimbursement Program
Eligible associates can receive a tuition reimbursement
- Up to the amount of $5,250 annually
- Can be used for both undergraduate and graduate programs at nationally accredited schools
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Maternity/Paternity Leave
Eligible associates benefit from:
- Maternity leave for a period of 4 weeks or 160 hours
- Paternity leave for 2 weeks or 80 hours
Referral Bonus
Associates who refer a new associate who is subsequently hired will receive a referral fee:
- $500 for an hourly associate
- $1,000 for a salary associate
(One-half of this referral is paid after the new associate begins work and the remaining half will be paid after the new associate has reached 90 days of employment.)

Volunteer Time-Off
Associates may use this paid time-off to volunteer for charitable organizations that provide a direct service to individuals in need or benefits the greater good of people in the community.
- All full-time and part-time associates are eligible to participate
- Full-time associates qualify for up to 16 hours of volunteer time-off per calendar year; part-time associates qualify for up to 8 hours per calendar year
- All eligible employees will receive their VTO hours on the 1st of the month following one month of employment
MidCountry Bank Mortgage Loan (Available after 90 days of employment.)
MidCountry Bank will waive the origination fee (up to a maximum of 1%) for one conventional closed-end, first mortgage loan secured by an employee. The mortgage must apply to the borrower’s principal or secondary residence.
MidCountry Insurance Discount
MidCountry Financial Corp. employees may be eligible to receive discounts if they secure personal insurance coverage through Auto-Owners Insurance Company. Discounts vary from 5% to 10% in various states.
CollegeAmerica Savings Plan
College America is a 529 college savings plan that can help you build a nest egg for college. The custodian of the fund is American Funds. All full time and part-time employees of MidCountry Financial are eligible to participate.
Checking Accounts, Bill Pay, etc.
As an employee, you may open up a Premier Checking account at no cost. The minimum balance requirement of $1,000 is waived. You receive free checks, debit card, notary service, traveler’s checks and money orders. You have access to free online banking, including bill pay services.
